88 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Marine the reason he has decided not to grant fish culture licences to a company (details supplied) at the sites in Lough Swilly known as Swilly 2 and Swilly 3 as detailed in the Environmental Impact Statement published by this company in February 1992.
The original application for licensing of the sites in question, in relation to which a comprehensive Environmental Impact Statement was published in 1992, is currently being revised by the company. An amended Environmental Impact Statement will be published in due course. Decisions on the granting of licences will be taken in light of the outcome of the public consultative process and all relevant technical and other assessments.
