Question:212 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when sheep quota in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be increased; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Sheep Quota.
The person named has already been allocated a ewe premium quota of 12 premium rights under category 4 of the terms and conditions for allocating quota from the national reserve. This category provides for ewe premium quota to be allocated to producers who submitted an application for ewe premium for the first time in 1992 and is based on the number of ewes on which they were paid premium under that scheme. The person named was paid premium on 12 ewes under the 1992 scheme and is not therefore due an increase of ewe premium quota.
