Question:225 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the average cost per week of maintaining a person in a geriatric home in the Western Health Board area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am advised by the Western Health Board that the average net cost of maintaining an elderly person in a long stay home in the Western Health Board area is approximately £153 per week.
