247 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the number of students who received full, part or no higher education grants, European social fund grants or vocational education committee grants in the years 1991, 1992 and 1993 respectively.
The higher education grants scheme is administered by the local authorities and the vocational education committee scholarships and ESF maintenance grants schemes are administered by the vocational education committees. While the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available to my Department the following are the total numbers of students in receipt of grants under the three categories.
