Vol. 438 No. 7

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lowry — the current position in respect of applications to the Tipperary Enterprise Board for grant-aid under the Leader programme; (2) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the inordinate increase in the cost of private nursing home care in the Cork area since the advent of nursing home subvention which is negating the benefit of financial aid to hard-pressed families; (3) Deputy Richard Bruton — the impending closure of Coolock Community Law Centre due to lack of funding; (4) Deputy Deasy — the future of the Dungarvan to Waterford railway line.

The matters raised by Deputies Richard Bruton, Lowry and Batt O'Keeffe are considered to be in order and have been selected for discussion.
