Vol. 438 No. 7

Written Answers. - Government Offices Decentralisation.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

86 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position regarding the planned decentralisation to Dundalk, County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A site for the new decentralised offices at Newry Road, Dundalk, has been agreed. Following a public advertisement, a number of developers have applied to be included on a short list of those to be specially invited to submit their proposals for the offices. This list will be finalised shortly.

As soon as accommodation briefs have been secured from the relevant Departments, definitive proposals can be sought from the developers selected.
