Question:121 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment the number of convictions per year that have been upheld in relation to the Litter Act during each of the years 1991 to 1993.

Wexford): The total numbers of convictions for offences under the Litter Act, 1982 in 1991 and 1992 were 159 and 297 respectively. These figures do not include on-the-spot fines in those years of 322 and 312 respectively. Statistics for 1993 are not yet available.
