Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Molloy — the reason the request for a resource teacher by the advocates for the visually impaired committee has been refused for the school year 1993-94; (2) An Teachta Éamon Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann príomh-phíopa nua uisce 10 n-orlach a chur ar fáil le scéimeanna uisce réigiúnacha an Spidéil agus na Ceathrún Rua a cheangal mar go bhfuil an píopa seo ag teastáil ón Spidéal siar chomh fada le Ros a'Mhil; (3) Deputy Carey — the serious difficulties in De Beers, Shannon, which has indicated that it intends to move its total operation to Sweden; (4) Deputy Deenihan — the decision to review the cases of 3,500 bachelors aged over 75 years who are in receipt of non-contributory old age pension; (5) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need to ensure that District Court sittings continue to be held in Ballincollig, County Cork, and (6) Deputy O'Donnell — The need to provide funding to Dublin Corporation to assist in the acquisition and development of 20-21 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, as a major cultural and tourism centre.

The matters raised by the following Deputies have been selected for discussion: Deputies Carey, Éamon Ó Cuív, O'Donnell and Molloy.
