Question:

172 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the extension to St. Mary's primary school, Knockbridge, County Louth.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 161 and 172 together. A major building project has been approved by my Department for this school. However, it has not been possible to include it in the 1994 national school capital programme because of other demands deemed to be of a higher priority which had to take precedence. It will continue to be considered for inclusion in the programme in the light of available resources and other commitments and priorities.
