Vol. 440 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kidney Dialysis Unit.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

159 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health when the kidney dialysis unit in Cavan Hospital will be operational.

The Deputy will be aware that the North-Eastern Health Board's financial allocation for 1994 includes provision for the establishment of a satellite dialysis unit at Cavan General Hospital. The opening of the unit is dependent upon the completion of capital works and the finalisation of staffing arrangements. I am hopeful that the service will be operational by the summer.
