The person named applied for grants on 33 animals under the January/February 1993 special beef premium scheme. However, this application was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check. The problem is being dealt with at present and if the application is found in order following a further computer validation check an advance payment in respect of all eligible animals found will be made shortly. It is not possible at this stage to state what the precise amount payment will be.
The person named applied for grants on 24 animals under the June 1993 10 month special beef premium scheme. However, it was found that premium had already been paid in respect of 22 of these animals. An advance payment of approximately £63 in respect of the two remaining animals will be made shortly.
The person named is also an applicant for special beef premium in November 1993. Payment of balances due cannot be made until all applications received from her in the course of 1993 have been processed. This is necessary to ensure compliance with EU regulations covering in particular the ceiling on eligible animals and stocking density.
