Vol. 441 No. 5

Written Answers. - Divorce Referendum Campaign.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

176 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the amount the Government intends spending on the forthcoming divorce referendum.

A sum of £500,000 has been provided in my Department's Estimate for the Government's campaign of information in the run-up to the divorce referendum. That information is contained in the Book of Revised Estimates for Public Services, 1994. The heads of expenditure will be on similar lines to those in recent referenda.
