Question:179 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the plans, if any, he has to establish a film school; if so, when he intends to have this school established; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - National Film School.
I indicated in reply to a parliamentary question on 4 November, 1993 that I had no firm proposals for the creation of a national film school, but that I was very much in favour of the creation of such a school in the short to medium term. I will be examining the possibility of establishing such a school in the coming months and the Deputy will therefore appreciate that I am not in a position to say when such a school will be established.
