Vol. 441 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cancellation of Out-Patient Dermatology Services.

Noel Ahern

Question:

189 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the cancellation of the outpatient dermatologist clinic in Beaumont Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that certain out-patient dermatology services at Beaumont Hospital have been curtailed due to holiday and study leave arrangements for junior medical staff. I am informed by Beaumont Hospital that urgent referrals have not been affected. As an additional junior medical staff member will be appointed from 1 July 1994, it is intended that a fuller service should operate from that date.
