Question:84 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if she intends to continue remedial courses in post-primary education conducted by the psychological service of her Department.
Written Answers. - Teacher In-Service Courses.
I have recently announced the setting up of an In-Career Development Unit in my Department to co-ordinate and develop the provision of in-service education for teachers. This unit is currently examining all existing in-service provision, including remedial teaching courses for both primary and post-primary teachers, with a view to improving access to such courses for all teachers in the future. I expect to be in a position to announce the new arrangements for this course shortly.
