Question:88 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position regarding the status of the Kyrie Eleison Abbey, Abbeydorney, County Kerry; and the name of the person who owns the abbey.

Protection was afforded to this monument by having it entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on 23 March, 1990. This requires the owner to give two months notice to the Commissioners of Public Works of any intention to carry out any works there. The Abbey is in the ownership of Kerry County Council.
