20 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if she will make funding available for the provision of a secure boundary wall at the rear of the houses at Glengarriff Parade, Dublin 7, which adjoin Mountjoy Prison and where there have been recurring break-ins.
I refer the Deputy to my predessor's written answer to question of 29 October 1992 (Dáil Debates Volume 424 No. 6, column 1460) which sets out fully the position in this regard. Essentially, it would not be proper for my Department to effect works as proposed at public expense for the reasons outlined in that reply.
