70 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when ten month special beef premium payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department has no record of having received a special beef premium application in 1993 from the person named. However, he did apply in June and December 1992 for special beef premium on ten month animals. He was paid £738.15 on 11 November 1992 on foot of the June application and £984.20 on 25 May 1993 on foot of the December 1992 application.
71 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when special beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Payment in respect of ten animals under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme has already been made to the person named. He was not paid on two animals due to a problem with their ages. This has now been resolved and payment on the remaining two animals will issue shortly. His application for grants under the June 1993 special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will be made shortly.
72 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when sheep headage grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.
Payment of the 1993 ewe premium will be made to the person named shortly.
73 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the remainder of headage and suckler cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.
The person named was paid the balance of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 28 April 1994. He is not an applicant for either the June or December 1993 suckler cow premium schemes.

The person named was paid the balances of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 19 February 1994 and his 1993 suckler cow premium on 24 April 1994.

The person named was paid advances of his 1993 cattle headage grant and his 1993 suckler cow premium on 27 January 1994. His applications are being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid in the near future.

The person named was paid the balance of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 13 May 1994. He was paid an advance of his 1993 suckler cow premium on 4 December 1993. This application is being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid shortly. He applied for the January-February 1993 special beef premium on ten animals but on investigation two of these animals were found to be under age. He is therefore not eligible for payment of premium on any of the ten animals applied on.

79 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of beef premium and headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway in view of the fact that this application was lodged in June 1993.
The person named was paid his full cattle headage grant of £1088.77 on 13 May 1994. Due to an error in the Department's records in the amount of milk quota credited to him, the payment of the special beef premium applied on in June 1993 has been delayed. This matter is being rectified and payment will be made within the next two weeks.
