76 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Justice the number of applications for naturalisation in each of the last five years; the number granted; the number rejected; and the nationality of the applicant in each case.

Notes: (1) The number of applications is not necessarily equivalent to the number of persons, i.e. one application may also provide for additional family members. The nationality of applicants is not recorded.

(3) The number of applications refused was recorded from 1 April 1992 only.
