28 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Justice the progress made to date in regard to the Garda investigation into the gun and bomb attack on the Widow Scallan's pub in Pearse Street, Dublin 2; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
66 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the progress that has been made regarding the investigations into the recent attempt by the UVF to place a bomb in a Dublin pub; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 28 and 66 together.
It has never been the practice for Ministers for Justice to report to the House on the progress of specific Garda investigations. I do not propose to depart from that practice now other than to say that the Garda investigation in this case is being actively pursued.
