Vol. 443 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dublin Army Barracks.

Ivor Callely

Question:

65 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the progress that has been made regarding the future use of Collins Barracks; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Renovation work at Collins Barracks has commenced on the building in Clarks Square and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Fitting out work will then begin so as to enable the National Museum to instal its material for display in the renovated premises. Work on developing the remainder of the site will be on going for a number of years.
