Amendment of Standing Orders: Motions.

I move:

That the following be adopted in substitution for Standing Order 140 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business:

140. Any member of the Dáil may voluntarily resign his membership thereof by notice in writing to the Ceann Comhairle, and such resignation shall take effect upon receipt of the notice by the Ceann Comhairle who shall as soon as may be inform the Dáil.

I move:

That Standing Order No. 62 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann be amended by the deletion of "three minutes" where it firstly occurs and the substitution therefor of "four or two minutes, as the case may be" and the deletion of "three minutes" where it secondly occurs and the substitution therefor of "the said four or two minutes, as the case may be".
