Question:

130 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Limerick is facilitated with a motorised purchase grant in order that this person can acquire a car to give him mobility as a disabled person for which he has already applied to the Mid-Western Health Board.

Payment of a motorised transport grant in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Mid-Western Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
