135 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Health if he has satisfied himself that the evaluation of tenders for the subcontract element of the new Tallaght Hospital was in accordance with the liasion committee's normal code of procedure; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The Liaison Committee Practice Notes relate to the RIAI — Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland — form of building contract. The Tallaght Hospital Project is under the GDLA — Government Departments and Local Authorities — form of contract. The Tallaght Hospital Board and design team have applied the principles contained in the liaison committee practice notes in the evaluation of sub-contract tenders.
