Question:101 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will receive payment of the balance of his suckler grant and his extensification grant.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will issue shortly.
Payment of extensification premium is ongoing and if the person named is found eligible, after all his 1993 applications have been processed, he will be paid in the near future.

Question:102 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will receive payment of the balance of his suckler grant and his extensification grant.
The person named applied for premium on 32 cows under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme. He was paid a 60 per cent advance on 32 cows on 10 December 1993.
However, it was a condition of the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme that only beef-type breeds could be applied on unless the producer was an applicant under the scheme in 1990 or 1991. When the application of the person named was fully processed it was found that he had included 11 non beef breeds on his 1993 application and as he had not made application under the scheme in 1990 or 1991 he is eligible for payment on only 21 cows. Arrangements are being made to have the balance due paid shortly.
Payment of extensification premium is ongoing and if the person named is found eligible, after all his 1993 applications have been processed, he will be paid in the near future.

Question:103 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when cattle headage and suckler cow grants applied for in June 1993, will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.
The person named has already been paid part of his grants under the 1993 cattle and equines headage scheme. The balance is being processed at present and payment will be made shortly. He did not apply for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium, or the January-February, June and November 1993 special beef premium schemes.
