Written Answers. - Land Registry Applications.

Paul Bradford

Question:

43 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice when an application for first registration from a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be examined; and if the matter will be expedited.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application referred to, which was lodged on 16 June, 1994, is under examination and queries concerning it will be issued shortly. Accordingly, it is not possible to say when the application will be completed as this is dependent on the outcome of the queries.

Jim Higgins

Question:

44 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in the registration of a folio (details supplied) in County Mayo.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles the application referred to was lodged in the Land Registry on 4 August, 1993. Queries concerning the application were issued by the Land Registry on 9 August, 1993 and a reply was received on 22 April, 1994, The application was completed on 3 May, 1994.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

45 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice whether the land registration obstacles in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare have as yet been resolved; if not, the reason for continued delay; the length of time still required before completion of registration; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The length of time required before completion depends on the receipt in the Land Registry of satisfactory replies to the queries which issued to the applicant's solicitors. A reply to these queries has not been received to date.
