233 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the exclusion of Cork Street from the recent urban renewal scheme in view of the Cork Street/Coombe relief route environmental impact study. [267/94]
The areas designated under the new urban renewal scheme were selected following consideration of all relevant factors. For the scheme to be effective, it must be limited in its application. Therefore, it was not possible to include Cork Street and a significant number of other areas for which a case had been made.
