Vol. 445 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

291 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in having installation aid paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [104/94]

This application cannot be finalised until the applicant has furnished a copy of the folio showing him as the registered owner of the lands in question.

The folio should now be available from the Land Registry as I understand that registration of title has recently been completed. Upon receipt of the folio and providing everything is in order payment should issue within two or three weeks.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

292 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when 22 month and ten month beef premia will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. [141/94]

The person named was paid his June 1993 22 month special beef premium on 1 July 1994, and his November 1993 ten month special beef premium on 2 July 1994. One animal on his November 1993 22 month special beef premium application was ineligible for payment and premium on the remaining animals was paid on 17 August 1994.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

293 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a 22 month beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. [142/94]

The person in question made application under the ten month special beef premium in November 1992 and made a further application in February 1993 for the 22 month special beef premium on the same animals.

On checking both applications it was found that the ages declared for the same animals were not consistent. Therefore under the EU regulations the applicant could not be paid the special beef premium on these animals.
