310 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the amount of travelling expenses paid to each officer and the grade of each officer in the farm development service in the 1993 financial year. [374/94]
The total expenditure on travel and subsistence to staff in the FDS group in 1993 was in the region of £0.8 million. The number of staff involved was 273.
A detailed breakdown of payments made to each officer, by grade, for 1993 is not readily available. Given the other pressing demands on my Department's services, the use of scarce resources to compile the information requested would not be justified.
