Vol. 445 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jim Higgins

Question:

329 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive payment of his 1993 suckler cow grant for the outstanding three animals and payment of his suckler cow grant for eight animals for 1992. [726/94]

The application of the person named for grants under the December 1992 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and payment in respect of eight animals will be made shortly. He has already been paid grants on five animals under the June 1993 suckler cow premium scheme and a payment is now being prepared in respect of three additional animals.

The processing of the applications in this case has been complicated by the fact that the person named applied originally for five animals under the June 1992 suckler cow premium scheme but later withdrew that application and applied instead for grants on eight animals under the December 1993 suckler cow premium scheme. The issues involved have now been resolved.
