Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Patrick J. Morley

Question:

342 Mr. Morley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [945/94]

The person named applied for 1993 suckler cow premium on one animal and on two animals under the 1994 scheme.

These applications cannot be processed as the person named has not established any suckler cow quota rights.

My Department has no record of an application from this herdowner for quota rights from either the special reserve for small scale producers or the national reserve.

Question:

344 Mr. Morley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when beef premium grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [947/94]

The person named applied for premium on 11 animals under the January/February 1993 special beef premium scheme. As he failed to submit cattle identity cards for ten of these animals, however, he was paid premium on the one remaining animal only.

He applied for premium on 19 animals under the June 1993 special beef premium scheme and was paid £1,001.87 premium on these.

He did not apply under this scheme during the November 1993 application period.

He was paid £1,634.32 extensification premium on 21 August 1994.

Question:

345 Mr. Morley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when beef premium grants will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Galway. [948/94]

The applicant in this case has been paid an advance of £175.59 under the November 1993 (22 month) special beef premium scheme. The balance of £562.63 due is being processed for payment at present and a pay order will issue shortly. The delay in making this payment has arisen because the herdowner failed to complete his area aid form properly.
