Vol. 445 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Mayo School Projects.

Enda Kenny

Question:

485 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Education the up to date position in respect of each primary school in County Mayo in respect of which applications have been lodged with her Department for improvement, extension or new buildings; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [503/94]

Due to the inordinate staff time which would be required to source the detailed information sought by the Deputy and the necessity to deploy staff on more urgent work, it is not possible to supply the information required. However, if the Deputy specifies any particular school I will supply the required information.

Enda Kenny

Question:

486 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Education the up to date position in respect of all vocational schools in County Mayo in respect of which applications for improvement, extension or new buildings have been lodged with her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [504/94]

Applications have been received from County Mayo vocational education committee for replacement of windows at Moyne College, Ballina and the provision of new accommodation at Lacken Cross vocational school. These applications are being examined at present and decisions will be conveyed to the vocational education committee as soon as possible. An extension to Belmullet vocational school has recently been sanctioned and the vocational education committee has been authorised to proceed with the architectural planning of the project.
