Vol. 445 No. 6

Written Answers. - Designation of Land in County Offaly.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

145 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the property of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly in relation to the designation of such land as a natural heritage area, to include reference to the proposed designation and the restrictions to use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [623/94]

The Office of Public Works does not propose to designate the land referred to as a natural heritage area. The site is no longer considered to be of conservation value. Subject to the normal planning laws, there should be no restrictions on the use and development of the land.
