Written Answers. - Donegal Pier Development.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

197 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for the Marine in view of the overwhelming opposition by fishing and tourist interests to the proposed development at the pier at Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, by a person (details supplied), if he will carry out a full investigation prior to the granting of a lease for foreshore to the person concerned. [1116/94]

In accordance with the public consultative and assessment processes inherent in the granting of a lease under the Foreshore Acts, full account will be taken of the stated views of all interested parties in coming to a decision on the lease application in question.
