Vol. 445 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Kilkenny Television Transmitter.

Phil Hogan

Question:

208 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the conditions applying to the licence that was granted for Cell 27 for the erection of a transmitter by Cable-link at Tory Hill, Mullinavat, County Kilkenny; if the licence has been changed to another site; if the licence is being transferred to that site also; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1130/94]

The television programme retransmission licence granted for Cell 27 under the Wireless Telegraphy (Television Programme Transmission) Regulations, 1989 is subject to the technical conditions established by my Department in specification No. R82 of April, 1988.

This licence entitles the licensee to transmit from Tory Hill. Permission has also been granted to transmit from another site within Cell 27.
