Vol. 445 No. 7

Written Answers. - Meeting with Radiotherapy Action Group.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

129 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health if he has had arrangements made to meet with the Radiotherapy Action Group Exposure organisation; and the measures, if any, he intends to take to respond to their various demands. [60/94]

I have not received any request to meet with this group. I understand that it is a British based organisation and I am not aware that there is a branch in Ireland. I have, however, received representations from Deputy Deenihan on behalf of an individual bringing this organisation to my attention in the context of radiotherapy treatment which this person received in this country. The case is under investigation by the health agency concerned and I will be in touch with the Deputy in the matter in due course.
