Vol. 446 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

69 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant and a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1824/94]

The person named was paid his 1993 suckler cow premium on 8 August 1994 and his 1993 extensification premium on 18 August 1994. He was also paid a 1993 beef cow grant of £675 on 28 April 1994 and the remaining £1,575 was offset against an overpayment of his 1992 beef cow grant.

Michael Finucane

Question:

70 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason 1993 22 month premium for five animals has been refused to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that appropriate certification has been provided to the Limerick office of his Department; and if he will have arrangements made to re-investigate the matter to ensure payment is made. [1829/94]

The person named applied for the January 1993 special beef premium in respect of five animals. As the animals were sold at a mart without the identity cards being punched before sale as required under clause 5 of the terms and conditions of the scheme I regret that he cannot be paid any premium on these animals.
