Vol. 446 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Paul Bradford

Question:

86 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that school children from the catchment area of the closed national school in Belvelly, Cobh, County Cork, who should, by virtue of the closure of that school, be entitled to school transport to the alternative national schools in Cobh are not in receipt of that service; if she will ensure that the situation is rectified as a matter of urgency; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1747/94]

My Department has no details of the case referred to by the Deputy. If the Deputy can furnish details about the children involved, I will be glad to have the matter investigated by my officials. I will advise the Deputy of the outcome of these investigations as soon as they have been completed.
