Question:

188 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in respect of January for each year from 1985 to 1994, or for each year since commencing, the number of persons engaged under FÁS job training schemes, FÁS training courses, FÁS apprenticeships, community employment, community employment development schemes, social employment schemes, TEAMWORK, FÁS community training workshops, travellers training centres, alternance return to work courses and community training programmes. [1954/94]

All of the information sought by the Deputy is not available in the format requested. Table 1 as follows sets out the throughput figures (i.e. numbers leaving) for those programmes in operation in the years 1985-1987; table 2 sets out the number of participants on these programmes and additional programmes in January of 1988 and each subsequent year.
