241 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason his Department will not make payment of the special beef premium grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo before November 1994. [2113/94]
Under EU regulations payment of 1994 special beef premium cannot commence before 1 November 1994 and even then only 60 per cent of the amount due can be paid.
242 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the balance of headage payments for the years 1992 and 1993 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [2114/94]
According to records in my Department, all 1992 grants due to the person named have been paid to him.
The person named was paid the balances of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 28 February 1994, his November 1993 special beef premium on 28 April 1994 and his 1993 suckler cow premium on 3 June 1994. His application for the January 1993 special beef premium was rejected initially due to age inconsistency of some of the animals claimed. Payment of premium on the remaining animals on this application will issue shortly. His extensification premium will also be paid shortly.

My Department is unable to trace any 1993 suckler cow premium scheme application from the person named.
244 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when ewe premium for 1993 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [2146/94]
The person named was paid the first and second instalments of the 1993 ewe premium on 25 July 1993 and the final instalment on 17 May 1994. Payment of the 1993 sheep headage will be made shortly.
245 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when suckler cow and sheep premium grants for 1993 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [2147/94]
Payment of the 1993 suckler cow premium was made to the person named on 10 October 1994. He was paid the final instalment of the 1993 ewe premium on 21 July 1994 and payment of the advance of the 1994 ewe premium is being arranged and will be paid shortly.

The person named was paid an advance of £498.24 under the 1993 cattle headage scheme. Delay in processing the balance due arose because he did not complete his area aid application form fully. The matter has now been resolved following a query addressed to the herdowner and the balance due will be paid shortly.
