37 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the way in which Ireland will avail of the E.U. Community Initiative for small and medium sized enterprises. [117/94]
The new small business and services division which I established in my Department in June 1994 has drafted an operational programme under the EU SME initiative. This initiative will result in Irish small and medium sized enterprises benefiting from a fund of IR£22.9 million to be spent by 31 December 1999.
The proposed measures are access to finance; access to public and other markets; adaptation of service firms; applied research support projects.
