118 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proposals, if any, he has to include the offshore islands and Gaeltacht islands under the programme for Leader II funding; if he has received a submission from Comhdháil Oileáin na hÉireann, the Irish Islands Federation, to this effect; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The application from Comhdháil Oileáin na hÉireann is one of 48 submissions that I have received.

The position in relation to the implementation of the Leader II programme is as outlined in my replies to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 199 by Deputy Philip Hogan on 12 October and No. 185 by Deputy Mary Harney on 18 October.
