Vol. 446 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

168 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason part of the 1993 headage scheme, the ten month bullocks special beef premium for November 1993, was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if an extensification scheme grant will be paid to him. [2720/94]

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted.

However, payments of the balance of the 1993 cattle headage, 1993 special beef premium and extensification premium will issue to the registered owner of this herd number shortly.

The delay in payment was due to a problem with the area aid application which has now been resolved.

Question:

169 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason the first and second instalments of the ewe premium grant have not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway. [2722/94]

The delay in paying the advances of the 1994 ewe premium to the person named was due to a clerical error in completing the computer documentation. This has now been corrected and payment of both advances will issue shortly.
