Vol. 446 No. 6

Written Answers. - Bray (Wicklow) Cancer Support Group.

Liz McManus

Question:

178 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health if he will fund the Bray cancer support group in view of the considerable work that is being done by this group at local level. [2510/94]

Funding of voluntary organisations is normally a matter for the local health board in whose functional area the organisation is located. In the circumstances, I would suggest that the Bray Cancer Support Group contact the Eastern Health Board with a request for funding. It is also open to the Bray Cancer Support Group to apply to my Department for national lottery funding from my Department's national lottery allocation.
