Bernard Allen

Question:

114 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice her views on the situation whereby delays in processing house purchases are allowed in the Hawthorn Mews area of Cork City; and if she will have arrangements made for the reregistering of titles in relation to a person (details supplied) in Cork, who is the tenant in the house and who is anxious to purchase but unable to do so because of land registry problems. [2686/94]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application in question refers to the re-registration of a site on a housing development where difficulties in relation to site boundaries have arisen as a consequence of amendments to the scheme map originally lodged. The applicant's property was registered, in accordance with the original scheme map, as Folio 36153F, County Cork. The Land Registry's maps for the location are currently under reconstruction and revision and the applicant's solicitors have been informed of the Land Registry's requirements for rectification of the site boundaries on the revised maps.
