Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Enda Kenny — The implementation of the ministerial policy directive issued to CIE in March 1992 regarding the implementation of a competitive tendering procedure; (2) Deputy McGrath — The ready availability of fireworks having regard to the many injuries associated with their use and, in particular, the serious eye injury caused to a boy in County Westmeath; (3) Deputy Durkan — The non-availability of statistical information on child sexual abuse as outlined in the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 191 on 2 November 1994.

The matters raised by Deputies McGrath and Enda Kenny are considered to be in order and have been selected for discussion accordgingly.
