176 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if any of the civil servants in his Department who have undertaken the MSc programme in public sector management have taken any recent initiatives or actions which might affect the principle that Ministers remain responsible for all aspects of the business of their Departments and must answer to Dáil Éireann for them. None of the civil servants in my Department or its associated offices has taken any initiative or action of the kind mentioned by the Deputy. The principle to which the Deputy refers could be changed only by amending the Ministers and Secretaries Acts 1924-83 under which Departments of State operate.

Go dtí go mbeidh structúir reachtúla ar leith curtha ar bun do Theilifís na Gaeilge, is ceist d'Údarás RTÉ, atá ag fáil comhairle ó Chomhairle Theilifís na Gaeilge, nuacht agus cláir eile a sholáthar. Faoi mar a dúirt mé cheana féin, tá an cúram leagtha ag an Rialtas ar Údarás RTÉ an bonnegar teicniúil a chur ar fáil, faoi réir gur stáisiún foilsitheora/craoltóra a bheidh i dTeilifís na Gaeilge. Cuimsíonn mo mholtaí do cheanncheathrú an stáisiúin ag Baile na hAbhann áiseanna láithreoireachta agus craoltóireachta.
