Vol. 447 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

87 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice if, in the matter of registration of title in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare, the information requested from the solicitor has been supplied as requested; if registration has been refused or granted in other cases (details supplied) where similar information has been supplied; if it has been the practice to approve registration in such cases in the absence of objectors; if any objectors exist in this case; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3554/94]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that it is not the Land Registry practice to proceed with any registration without appropriate supporting evidence and that necessary information requested by the Land Registry in this particular case has not been supplied by the applicant's solicitor to date. The registrar has further informed me that the application is being dealt with in accordance with standard practice in the Land Registry.

Finally, I am informed that the Land Registry has not had any notice of objectors in relation to this particular application.
