Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Hugh Byrne

Question:

104 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the date of application, the progress to date and the likely outcome of an application for a 22 month beef subsidy from a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3536/94]

The person named applied for the January 1994 special beef premium (22 month) scheme on 22 January 1994. The application was submitted for 52 animals but one of these animals was previously applied and paid for. The application is currently being processed in respect of the remaining 51 animals together with his application for four animals under the June 1994 (22 month) special beef premium. If found in order a 60 per cent advance payment in respect of these applications will issue shortly in accordance with EU regulations which precluded any payment before 1 November.

Frank Crowley

Question:

105 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a 22 month special beef premium for January 1993, a ten month and 22 month special beef premium for 1994 and the balance of a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [3537/94]

The application of the person named for the January 1993 special beef premium is being processed at present and payment will issue in the next three weeks. He was not an applicant under the 1993 or 1994 suckler cow premium schemes. Payment of 60 per cent advances under the 1994 special beef premium schemes began on 1 November in accordance with EU regulations. The applications of the person named for the January 1994 ten month and 22 month and the June 1994 ten month special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and if found in order advances will be paid shortly.

Enda Kenny

Question:

106 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [3594/94]

The person in question has already been paid £268.80 under the 1994 sheep headage scheme. Grants under the sheep headage scheme are based, inter alia, on the forage area and classification of grazings available to an applicant as indicated on an applicant's 1994 area aid form. In the case in question all the forage area available to the applicant was not classified by him on his area aid form as mountain or lowland grazings. This resulted in an underpayment of sheep headage. Arrangements are now being made to have this matter rectified and a balancing payment will issue shortly.

Enda Kenny

Question:

107 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of a ewe premium will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [3596/94]

Payment of the advance of the 1994 ewe premium will be made to the person named shortly.
