Vol. 447 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jim Higgins

Question:

15 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of the 1993 headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [3629/94]

Under the terms and conditions of the 1993 cattle and equine headage scheme an applicant was required to occupy and farm at least 7.5 statute acres, three hectares, of agricultural land. As the person named declared only 7.02 acres on his area aid form he is not eligible for grants under the headage scheme.
